Senior Capstone

Hope Street wouldn’t exist without Thrive Lonsdale’s youth ministry, a Knoxville, TN based organization that has profoundly shaped me since I was 14. Starting as a volunteer and working my way to staff, I’ve witnessed Thrive’s dedication to connecting compassionate adults with inner city students through Christ-centered relationships, exemplifying the transformative power of community and care. Thrive has impacted me in numerous ways, but here, I share its’ influence on my calling. Working with this organization sparked my passion for combining creative pursuits with a drive to empower communities. While I deeply admire Thrive’s mission and impact, this project reflects my desire to build on its successes while addressing areas for growth, crafting an identity that better serves students, families, staff, and donors. At its heart, this work seeks to share real people’s real stories in order to create an identity that embodies hope, intentionality, and empowerment, demonstrating how design can amplify meaningful connections and lasting change.

The deliverables include a brand kit, print materials (three eight page zines, 62 prayer cards, and one twelve page annual report), merchandise (three t-shirts), a website prototype, and social media assets. These elements were displayed in a 5 ft gallery space, showcasing the design’s impact in a real-world ministry context.
